D. Ward Johnson

Originally a Tealwood client, Ward joined the team in 2006 after 37 years in the investment banking industry. He retired at the end of 2018 and we are happy to continue our relationship with him as he transitions back into a client role. Ward graduated from the University of Minnesota with a history degree and was captain of the men’s golf team. Ward’s passion for golf continues as he is a Golf Digest “100 Greatest” rating panelist and was a USGA Committee member for 25 years.

Ward is a current Trustee of the St. Paul College Foundation and a member of the Minnesota Historical Society’s Capital Campaign Committee, as well as the Capital Campaign Committee of the International Institute of Minnesota. He has served as a member of the Board of Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity, the National Eagle Center, Twin Cities Public Television, Hamline University, Western Golf Association, Trans Mississippi Golf Association, Friends of the St. Paul Library, Humane Society for Companion Animals, YMCA Camp Widjiwagan, the Minnesota Golf Association, and the Somerset Country Club.
